Tim & Linda McNerney

Tim McNerney is a lifelong resident of upstate New York who graduated with a degree in English-Education from Syracuse University in 1972 and completed his Masters in Educational Communications at SUNY Albany in 1975. He and his wife Linda raised a family of four children, Elaine, Loretta, Colin and Theresa in their home on Gospel Hill Road in a beautiful area of rural New York state where they have resided since 1976.  Linda, is a Registered Nurse and avid organic gardener.

After running his own small business for over 25 years, Tim is now in public education full time as the Technology Coordinator in two districts. Tim and Linda have been active in their parishes, St. Bartholomew and St. Paul, in Norwich, N.Y. for over 20 years, completing Basic Catechetical Certification, co-teaching the second year Confirmation class at St. Bartholomew, and actively participating in parish life.  Tim serves as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and instructor in the RCIA program. He is also involved with ecumenical service through the weekly Soup Kitchen at the Broad Street Methodist Church in Norwich.

Tim has brought his interest in technology to ministry as well education, publishing a blog, Gospel Hill Posts, with a world-wide readership and a section devoted to the candidates and aspirants of our diocese. He recently launched Deacons USA.  He hopes in the months ahead to develop the new website as a collaborative space for the entire deacon community in the Diocese of Syracuse.
